YPL displacement type Level Transmitter is designed to sense Liquid level, Interface and Specific gravity. The output of the Instrument is proportional and is designed to measure and transmit electrical signal proportional to changes in Liquid level or Specific Gravity.

Principal Of Operation

The YPL series measures changes in Liquid Level, Specific Gravity or Interface Level and transmits a current output signal proportional to the change in the process parameter. The change in the process parameter causes a change in the displacer position, which is transferred to the Torque Tube producing a Rotary motion. This rotary motion is transferred through bellow to lever assembly that is supported by flexure strips.
Magnets attached to the lever assembly move past a hall effect position sensor that converts the magnetic field signal to an electrical 4- 20mAsignal.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

A displacement type level transmitter is a liquid level measurement device that provides continuous and precise level monitoring in tanks, vessels, and industrial process systems by utilizing the buoyancy principle.

Archimedes’ Principle governs how the transmitter functions. The buoyant force acting on the displacer varies as the liquid level does. For level monitoring and control, this movement is transformed into an electrical output signal, usually 4–20 mA.

  • Excellent precision and dependability
  • Constant level monitoring
  • Appropriate for situations involving high temperatures and pressure
  • Sturdy structure
  • Minimal upkeep needs
  • Suitable for a range of industrial liquids

Oil and gas, petrochemical plants, power plants, chemical processing businesses, water treatment facilities, and storage tank applications all make extensive use of these transmitters.

Depending on the material compatibility and design requirements, they can measure water, oils, fuels, chemicals, solvents, hydrocarbons, and other industrial liquids.

Indeed, Displacement Type Level Transmitters are made especially to function dependably in high-temperature, high-pressure settings that are frequently encountered in industrial processes.

For remote monitoring and automation, the majority of transmitters offer industry-standard output signals such 4–20 mA, HART connection, and other outputs compatible with control systems.

A Displacement Type Level Transmitter is appropriate for more demanding industrial circumstances since it measures variations in buoyant force acting on a displacer, whereas a Float Level Transmitter employs a float that follows the liquid surface.

Indeed, these transmitters are perfect for separator and process vessel applications since they can be made to measure the interface level between two liquids with varying densities.

Indeed, versions for handling aggressive chemicals and corrosive fluids are available in Stainless Steel, Hastelloy, Monel, and other corrosion-resistant materials.

Long-term accuracy and dependable operation are ensured by routine inspection of the displacer, chamber, linkage mechanism, and calibration.

Displacement Type Level Transmitters are a recommended option for industrial level monitoring because they provide precise continuous level measurement, strong performance, outstanding dependability, and appropriateness for difficult process conditions.

For crucial process control applications where accuracy is crucial, these transmitters are very reliable and offer extremely accurate level measurement.

Yes, tank dimensions, operating pressure, temperature, process fluid characteristics, output requirements, and material specifications can all be used to customize displacement type level transmitters.

Displacement Type Level Transmitters are widely used for accurate level measurement and process automation in a variety of industries, including oil and gas, refineries, petrochemicals, chemical production, power generation, marine applications, and water treatment facilities.
